Michele Libraro (Italy) studied at the Conservatory G. Paisiello in Taranto in the class of Pino Forresu. He also studied musical analysis of the guitar repertory with Franco Arigliano and ancient music with Giuliano Balestra. He took part to the summer specializing courses under the guide of the Ruggero Chiesa, Roland Dyens, Maurizio Colonna, Manuel Barrueco, David Russell, Bruno Battisti d’Amario. He works as concert artist both as soloist and with chamber music orchestras.



















He is guitar teacher at the secondary schools. Since 1992 he is the organiser and the founder of the International Festival of Guitar and of the International Guitar Competition in Mottola (Taranto, Italy). Very often he is invited to take part as member of the Jury at prestigious National and International Competitions. In 2002 he won The Golden guitar Prize at the 7th International Guitar Meeting in Alessandria.
