Marko Srdjevic was born in Belgrade, Serbia in 1977. He completed his basic and higher musical education at “Isidor Bajic” School of Music – department of guitar in Novi Sad, Serbia. During this period, he acquired fundamental education in the classes of eminent Serbian professors Zoran Krajisnik (Academy of Arts in Novi Sad) and Srdjan Tosic (Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade).

In 1997, he received a scholarship and enrolled in Guitar studies at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (Slovakia) in the class of professor Jozef Zsapka, where he graduated with honors and received a master’s degree in 2002. He attended classical guitar interpretation courses and masterclasses of professors Fogaroshi Bella (Hungary), Srdjan Tosic (Serbia), John W. Duarte (England), Nikita Koshkin (Russia)  and Dusan Bogdanovic (USA).

During his studies in Bratislava, he got engagements from The Center for Arts and Culture and from The QSI - International School in Bratislava where he was giving lectures of classical guitar to young students from all over the world. After obtaining the master degree, he worked as an assistant at the Academy of Performing Arts - Department for Guitar in Bratislava.

His performance career was marked by many soloist and chamber music performances and concerts. Prominent ones include performances in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Subotica, Pozarevac, Smederevo (Serbia), Banja Luka (BIH), Vukovar (Croatia), Gyor (Hungary), Brno (Czech Republic) and Bratislava, Nitra and Kosice . He recorded his first CD in 1997.

Since 2004, Marko Srdjevic is a Professor of Guitar at the Subotica School of Music, and holds the position of Head of the Expert Council at Department for Plucked String Instruments.  His students have won multiple first prizes at major competitions in the country, and several have continued their careers in Europe and US.
