Hrvoje Ton was born in Zagreb, where he completed his primary education. In 1993 he enrolled at the University of Graz in the class of prof. Martin Mysliveček, and after graduation he entered a master's degree in the class of professor Carlo Marchione in Lovran. He has participated in numerous competitions and seminars where he achieved remarkable results.

In 2011 he founded the Chamber ensemble Laurum for which he composes and makes arrangements. As a teacher he works at the Music School Vatroslav Lisinski in Zagreb, and with his students he achieved outstanding results in national and international competitions. He acts as member of the jury and gives masterclasses in international guitar events.
