Raphaëlla Smits plays 8-string guitars and historical instruments worldwide in her unique way. Besides her stage-work, she has also made 20 successful albums.  She is internationally praised as a teacher for guitar and chamber music.  In addition to her chair at the Lemmens Institute in Belgium, she holds master classes around the globe. She is often asked to be a member of the jury at the international music competitions because of her accuracy, and a combination of her professional skills with a great sense of empathy.  Raphaella Smits is called quite rightly "une Grande Musicienne."
