Kyuhee Park was born in Incheon City, South Korea, and began to study guitar under Mr.Yeo-Soek Rhee when she was 3 years old. She won the first prize in the youth division of the National Korean Guitar Competition when she was nine. In 2004, she enrolled at the Tokyo College of Music, where she studied under the Japanese leading classical guitarists Shin-ichi Fukuda and Kiyoshi Shomura. She has since graduated from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna under the teaching of Professor Álvaro Pierri. She is a worldwide award-winning guitarist. Her awards include first prize at the 2007 Heinsberg International Guitar Competition (and Audience Prize), 2008 Printemps de la Guitare International Competition, 2009 Ligita International Guitar Competition, 2009 Forum Gitarre Wien International Guitar Competition, 2009 Luys Milan International Guitar Competition, 2010 Agustín Barrios International Guitar Competition, 2012 Alhambra International Guitar Competition (and Audience Prize), and 2014 Jan Edmund Jurkowski Memorial Guitar Competition.
