Ante Cagalj (1954) is croatian guitarist, pedagogue, professor of guitar and the headmaster of the Classical guitar department at Elly Basic Conservatory of Music in Zagreb where he has a class of solo guitar and chamber music.  Since 1993, he leads masterclasses of guitar solo and chamber music at the International Summer School Gitarastra  at the Island of Hvar and International Winter guitar school in Zagreb. His students have won numerous awards at national and international competitions. His student Robert Belinic is the first guitarist ever who won the Young Concert Artist Competition in New York. In He teaches at masterclasses and is a jury member in various national and international festivals and competitions in Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and Austria. Ante Cagalj is the founder and organizer  of the festival Guitar days in Zagreb, meeting point of guitarists and guitar ensembles from Croatia and abroad.
