Francisco Morais Franco was born in Covilhã, Portugal. He started studying guitar at the age of 9 with Dejan Ivanovic at Regional Conservatory of Music in Covilha. Later on, he continued studying with Pedro Rufino at the Academy of Music and Dance in Fundão.

In 2010 he graduated from the Univerity Institute Jean Piaget de Almada in the class of Dejan Ivanovic with the highest marks and with a special graduation prize for best bachelor student. Francisco is currently doing his Master degree at the Univerity of Art in Graz (Austria) with maestro Paolo Pegoraro. He won over 25 prizes (16 are first prizes) at national and international competitions. He played in some important concert halls in Portugal and also in Spain, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, U.K. and Germany. Francisco performed several times for TV and also Radio stations in Portugal, Germany and Czech Republic.

As a soloist, in 2009 he played with the Gulbenkian Orchestra conducted by Joana Carneiro and the concert was transmitted by radio and TV stations. He participated in master classes of some of the most important guitarists such as: Marco Sócias, Marco Smaili, Costas Cotsiolis, Darko Petrinjak, Michalis Kontaxakis, Hubbert Kappel, Carlo Marchione, Ignacio Rodes, Roland Dyens, Judicael Perroy, Kevin Gallagher, Laura Young, Graham Devine, Duo Melis, Zoran Dukic, Paul Galbraith, Pepe Romero, David Russell and many others.
