Branko Bako Jovanović was born in 1988 in Vienna. Growing up in a musical family, with instruments such as the tambourine and guitars that were always nearby, Bako began to express his interest in playing as a child. From the age of fifteen, he had the opportunity to perform in front of audiences in Berlin, Oslo, Tilburg, Madrid, Paris, London and Vienna.

With his performances at competitions throughout Europe, Bako managed to present the tambourine as an instrument in an unusual way, where a wide audience had the opportunity to get acquainted with the sound and virtuosity of this instrument.

 

This is an instrument that is typical for the regions of the Western Balkans and Eastern Europe, not so much represented in the West, which contributed to the excellent acquaintance of the audience with a completely unique sound and specific emotional-sensory experience of melodies that are interpreted.

 

Bako won first places at competitions in Russia (Rostov), Japan (Osaka), Germany (Trossingen), Italy (Udine), Portugal (Portimao) and Austria (Vienna), where he presented himself with incredible performances and interpretations of world-famous melodies that he performed with incredible virtuosity and with a completely new way of interpretation.

Bako is currently working on recording of a new album, which will be released in the summer of 2022.
