The Kragujevac Academic Accordionists Orchestra was founded in 2018, having the aim to promote the accordion as an academic instrument.
Bearing in mind that the region where we have lived for centuries was at the crossroads of East and West, it is great luck that the influences of both sides reflected in the most positive sense on the art of playing this instrument. The result is that the city of Kragujevac is recognized worldwide for its accordion school.
With the founding of FILUM, relying on a decades-long tradition, in 2018 everything went a step further, so the pearls of the world's musical heritage appeared in completely new arrangements (orchestrations).

There is no city or stage (Belgrade - Kolarac, Russian Home, Pula, Tivat, Trebinje, Slavonski Brod, Space Center in Vitanje - Slovenia and many others) where the orchestra, led by Prof. Predrag Kostovic performed, without making it immediately clear to any true music lover that it was an ensemble of high artistic achievements.
The absolute victories at the competitions in Pula in 2018 and Tivat in 2019 speak in favor of that.
"The music performed by the Kragujevac Academic Accordionists Orchestra has everything: emotion, content, virtuosity ..." - these are the words of the famous international guitar virtuoso, Vlatko Stefanovski, with whom the orchestra had two very notable concerts in November 2019, in Kragujevac and Belgrade.
