Pablo Garibay is an eminent performer of the great guitar concertos – notably those written by Rodrigo, Vázquez, Angulo, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Ponce, and Villa-Lobos. He is particularly known for his interpretations of Latin American music, having performed premieres by contemporary composers H. Vázquez, T. Barreiro, E. G. de León, D. Rivas, M. Barreiro, and E. Cordero. As a concert soloist, Garibay made his debut with the Orquesta Filarmónica de la Ciudad de Mexico and has since appeared as a soloist with orchestras throughout Europe and the Americas. He made his USA debut with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra working with J. Falletta, who described Garibay as "a guitarist of rare sensitivity, nuance and musicality."

Recent performances include appearances with the Evgeny Svetlanov State Academic Symphony Orchestra in the Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, Dortmunder Philharmoniker, OFUNAM, Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra, Virginia Symphony Orchestra, New Britain Symphony (USA), Salzburg Chamber Soloists, Orquesta Ciudad de Almeria (Spain), and the South African Chamber Orchestra with whom he performed the South African premiere of M. Ponce’s Concierto del Sur in Pretoria. In addition, Garibay has appeared at major international festivals throughout France, Germany, Great Britain, Russia, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, South Africa, Costa Rica, Mexico, and the United States.

Garibay won numerous international prizes, including 1st prize at the prestigious International Francisco Tárrega Guitar Competition (Spain), Manuel Ponce Guitar Competition (Mexico City), and the JoAnn Falletta International Guitar Concerto Competition (Buffalo, USA), among others.
