Ivan Manolov Andonov was born on March 13, 1970 in Kyustendil, Bulgaria. He holds Master's degree "Protection of cultural and historical heritage" and Master's degree "Music pedagogy", specialty "Classical guitar". He specialized with the big names in Bulgarian music such as Prof. Dobri Paliev (rhythm), Prof. Kiril Stefanov (conducting), Prof. Petar Lyondev (composition), etc. He studied guitar with some of the most famous teachers in Bulgaria, such as L. Panayotov, D. Doichinov, Prof. P. Panayotov, etc.

Since 1990, he has been teaching classical guitar in Kyustendil. Since 2005, he has been the chairman of the Bratstvo 1869 Community centre. Andonov is manager, conductor, artistic director and teacher of the Kyustendil Guitar Orchestra. His students are laureates of numerous national and international competitions and festivals. "Kyustendil guitar orchestra" is the first children's and youth orchestra in Bulgaria and has won many prestigious awards from participation in competitions and festivals at home and abroad.

Andonov is chairman and member of international music competitions in Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Ukraine, Greece, etc; long-time Chairman of the Municipal Council – Kyustendil. He is the founder and artistic director of the International Classical Guitar Competition "Acad. Marin Goleminov" - Kyustendil, which has been held since 1997, as well as at many other musical events and forums.
