Lazar Ostojić (1987) began composing at the age of 14. He has created works for both solo guitar and classical guitar in chamber music. His composition "Stairway to the Balkans" was featured on the 2018 album "Balkanisms" by Mak Grgić, released by Naxos. Additionally, his compositions from 2022 onwards are included in publications by "Bergmann Edition" in Denmark.

 

He is the creator of the hybrid instrument Albatross, composed of strings from both classical and bass guitars (2013). Ostojić graduated from the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade and continued his studies at the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen, the Netherlands. In addition to classical music, he is involved in rock, pop, and world music, playing guitar, bass guitar, and the Albatross. Ostojić attended masterclasses in composition with Dušan Bogdanović, Miroslav Tadić, and Carlo Domeniconi. Ostojić teaches guitar at the "Kosta Manojlović" music school in Zemun.
