GUITAR ART SUMMER FEST 2025
The 19th edition of the international Guitar Art Summer Fest will be held from August 1 to 6 in Herceg Novi, Montenegro.
FIESTA! – The sound of the guitar. The scent of the sea. The rhythm of summer!
The 19th Guitar Art Summer Fest will take place from August 1 to 6 at various locations in the Old Town of Herceg Novi. During six concert evenings, audiences will enjoy seven performances featuring pop, flamenco, ethno, and classical music.
Herceg Novi becomes the host of one of the most inspiring cultural events of the summer – the Guitar Art Summer Fest - "Fiesta", where passion, art, and Mediterranean spirit unite under the open sky.
The festival opens on August 1 at Kanli Kula with Spain’s greatest diva, Luz Casal, who is performing in Montenegro for the first time. The second evening is dedicated to the flamenco spectacle Vientos del Eresma, combining the best of Spanish regions Andalusia and Castile. On August 3 at the Square of Music, the world’s finest tamburitza player, Branko Bako Jovanović, will perform with his ensemble – a concert that transforms tradition into avant-garde.
The musical fiesta continues on August 4 with the French group Le souffle des Balkans – four musicians from Paris who bring Balkan music to life in a unique and unforgettable way. On the fifth night, ensamble Diachroniko from Greece will take the stage, when the audience will enjoy a rich combination of two guitars, bouzouki, violin, percussion, and vocals.
Traditionally, the final night of the festival, and its grand closing, is reserved for classical music. The evening will open with participants of the project Guitar Integrations 6, featuring Montenegro’s best students, young professors, and guitarists. The second part of the concert is reserved for Zoran Dukić, a virtuoso of classical guitar.
In addition to the concert program, during the Festival, from August 1 to 6, in the Sue Ryder gallery, the Guitar Visual Art exhibition will traditionally be held, where the works of photographers el gvojos and Duško Vukić will be presented.
The educational aspect of the Festival will also be organised daily, at the Herceg Novi Music School, through master classes that will be given to the best Montenegrin students by Zoran Dukić, Despina Arvanitidis and Christos Vernardos.
