Andrej Grafenauer
Andrej Grafenauer (Slovenia) studied guitar with Tomaž Šegula in Ljubljana and graduated at the High school for Music and performance in Graz, in the class of prof. Marga Bäuml-Klasinc. He took master class with professor Abel Carlevaro. Andrej Grafenauer performs repertoire from renaissance to contemporary works of Slovenian composers.
He also plays in guitar duo, duo with other instruments, violin and cello trio and with string quartet.
He recorded many albums, among them two CDs with works of Slovenian composers for guitar, with Bach works, etc. Andrej Grafenauer is devoted to his pedagogical work as a full professor and the dean at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana.
In 2000 Andrej Grafenauer was the only winner of Betetto Prize, the highest Slovenian professional association price for classical music performance.
