Aleksandar Sedlar Bogoev
Aleksandar Sedlar Bogoev graduated composition at the Belgrade Faculty of Music in 2006 as the best student of his generation. The same year he won Stevan Hristic prize for the best graduation work. He was enrolled in the University of Arts doctoral studies program and is currently in the process of completing his final year of conducting in the class of professor Bojan Suđić. In 2007/8 he worked as teaching assistant of his mentor, professor Vlastimir Trajković on composition and orchestration department at the Belgrade Faculty of Music. His most significant compositions are Macbeth – Violin concerto (2005), Elegy for Orchestra (2006) and the Double Sens Concertino – which is written as a commissioned work for the 20th anniversary of the music festival Flâneries musicales de Reims in France, where it was very successfully performed in 2009.
Aleksandar Sedlar Bogoev is also one of the most prominent pop musicians in Serbia. As a guitarist he performed with the most popular pop stars of Serbia. He has also participated in many projects playing bass guitar, drums, keyboards, or singing and working as an arranger and producer. He has composed music for film and theatre. He is currently preparing his first pop album and working on the compositions commissioned for several upcoming classical music events.
