Aleksandar Nikolić
Aleksandar Nikolić is the only bandoneonist in the region. He graduated at the Music Academy in Bratislava in 1997. He is the founder of the Beltango Quintet with whom he performed at numerous festivals worldwide during the last ten years (Argentina, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Hungary, Greece, Poland, etc.). He performed works of Astor Piazzolla with all major national orchestras - The Belgrade Philharmonic, Symphony Orchestra of Radio Television of Serbia, Vojvodina Philharmonic, St. George’s Strings, Niš Symphony Orchestra, etc. He is artistic director of the international Belgrade Tango Festival. He is successful in pedagogical work as a teacher in secondary music school Dr Vojislav Vučković and the Academy of Fine Arts.
